  • Working Tax Credit

    So what with all this hooha about the 10p tax rate (I’m a winner – yay), and GB going on about the “Working Tax Credit” being a bit of a bronze bullet, I thought I’d read up on it… sounded interesting.

    So I read the bumpf, which seemed to indicate that I was eligible! Bear in mind I’m a comparatively high earner – surely I wasn’t about to be given money by a Labour government? Still, they’re going on about £millions of unclaimed credits…

    I thought I’d test the theory, so I filled in their online form.

    “Based on the information you have entered, your household is not entitled to Child Tax Credit but is entitled to Working Tax Credit.”

    Woohoo! Show me the money!

    …

    “Working Tax Credit £0.00”

    Drat.

  • Rediscovering my record collection

    I had no idea I had so many CDs I’d forgotten about! I’m busy re-ripping some of them again, but they’re all so good! They bring back memories, too:
