  • Tallships voyage, SSN200

Just back from a fantastic holiday sailing in the Med with Dave. Dave and I decided to go tall ship sailing for a summer holiday. We spent a while thinking about when to go, but we decided on a Naples – Barcelona voyage, which looking back was a brilliant choice 🙂

To cut a long story short we had a fantastic time. Loads of brilliant people, fantastic weather, great fun… We stopped over in Cagliari (Sardinia) and Port Mahon (Menorca), and it was great to look around as I’d never been there before.

I haven’t stuck any photos up on the gallery here yet, but until I do so photos from loads of people (including the best of mine) can be found on http://www.flickr.com, tagged with ssn-200.

  • More snowsnow!

    Ho hum.
I went on the IBM ski trip – it was fun. Unfortunately poor Lucy broke her wrist on the first day snowboarding, so we changed to skiing. I was already terrified of boarding anyway, so it didn’t take much to convince me to change.

The weather was horrid, right up until the last day, when it was gorgeous (and so was the snow).

Pictures (by Matt) are up in the Gallery section.

  • Snowsnow!

    Skiing was sooooo goooooood.
I think that I shall go skiing again this month – IBM trip. Though… snowboarding instead this time I think.

In other news, due to Christmas, I am now the best equipped DIY dude in the history of DIY dudes. Fear my drill!

    Mmmm. Raclette.

  • Last day

    I just bought a computer.
It was an impulse buy – just couldn’t stop meself.

I should calm those of you worrying at this point – it only cost a little bit. It’s a teeny little box which I’m going to use as a domain controller. The whole thing (minus a HD I need to get) cost me a grand total of £150. It’s got a little C3 processor, a CD drive, and it’s very sweet.

I’ll put pictures up when I get it home past customs, but the first thing I need to do is assemble it tonight so I can throw away the packaging and secrete it in my inventory for the flight over.

Eenyway. Last day and all that. We fly from Osaka airport bright and early tomorrow morning, and arrive at Heathrow at 1830 BST. Then I’ve got to train home. I will, most likely, be dead by the end of this journey, but what the hell ^-^
