Vicky’s birthday party was good fun – it was good to see all the crew from down south again, even if it was in Durham. Durham is lovely by the way, and I heartily recommend Trevelyan college – the bar’s good and genuinely nice people go there, which is wonderful.<\/p>\n
I popped across to Oxford to visit Xi this weekend, which was nice and relaxing. We walked around Magdalen College on Sunday, which almost persuaded me to take a PhD there, but I’m nowhere near clever enough for that.<\/p>\n
In other news, nothing much happened today except me rolling out of bed in the afternoon and berating myself for not doing any work all day. I’m going to lug my notes to the uni library tomorrow so I can concentrate.<\/p>\n
I’ve somehow managed to damage my left knee sufficiently so that it’s extremely painful to sit cross-legged or kneel down. I’ll see if it fixes itself over the next couple of days – if not I’ll go and pick on some poor unsuspecting doctor at the medical centre.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
