Just a quick update on the job situation.<\/p>\n
– Accenture hate me.
\n– I decided SchlumbergerSema weren’t good enough for me.
\n– I’m going to work for IBM in the Notes and Tools group at Hursley.<\/p>\n
I start at IBM on the 3rd of November, after our epic Japan trip. It should be fun – my new manager seems like a nice bloke (he made a real effort to allow me to adjust my starting date), and though I haven’t interacted with the rest of the group yet, I suspect they’ll be nice enough.<\/p>\n
That and lots of other IC peeps are coming to IBM as well, so that should be fun.<\/p>\n
Unfortunately Dave didn’t make it in – foolish IBM recruiters don’t know a good thing when they see one. Still, it looks as if he’ll be working in department as a research assistant. The work sounds interesting, though it’s way beyond me…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
